I've had this old recipe box for ages. When it came into my possession, it was all sticky, rusty and gross. But I liked it anyway.
It came from an old lady who passed away, we were helping to tidy her house when I spied it. This old lady was a real hoarder, so her house was full to the brim with interesting junk - Mum loved it.
Naturally, being a hoarder, the old dear kept heaps of recipes too. And they were organized, with the help of this little recipe box.
I've had it for years now, but only cleaned it out the other day. The exercise book that I keep my recipes in is starting to bulge and fall apart. So I decided to make a small attempt at being organized, I wonder how long it'll last.

| I like naming recipes after people. I wonder who Mrs Tozer was? |
 |
| I want a typewriter now too! |
 |
| This looks gross... |
 |
| And I thought MY handwriting was bad! |
 |
| I'm intrigued by the stories behind the recipes! |
 |
| Why did she need luck for making bread? Who was Hugh? Where did he go to school, because he can't spell!? - These questions and more fill my brain. It's a real mystery, perhaps I should add it into my novel in November? |

| In the true spirit of hoarding, I kept the cards that still had a blank side and wrote my recipes on them! Ok, ok, my handwriting sucks. I'm left handed, is that a good excuse? |
How do you organize your recipes? Any theories about Hugh?

haha Theresa, that was funny as. Esp. the kiwifrut salad! Ew!
hmm. Hugh, without a doubt, was a guy who dropped out of Uni and started a bakery - just what I want to do.
